DAY 4: Wakanana Crabs
The mayor woke up with a massive headache and her lungs burned. That hairspray really took a toll on her. The sun had just started creeping up over the horizon and she began rubbing her eyes. Everyone left in town was still laying there after the group fainting, a few seemed to just begin to stir. The mayor finally was able to open her eyes, stand up and survey the scene. She noticed footprints going to and from the hut, and what appeared to be a long mark of something (or someone) being dragged in the sand.
A few yards away the mayor discovered a large hole filled with Wakanana Crabs. Wakanana Crabs were known for their fatal pinchers. They had been known to kill entire villages by swarming them and then pinching the bodies until they bled to death. These crabs, however, appeared to be peacefully sleeping. This certainly was unusual. She took a stick, moved a few crabs around, and found a bottle laying at the bottom of the pit: Prescription Sleeping Pills.
One of the undercover doctors had been successful, the pit did not contain any bodies. The mafia had been thwarted once again!
It is now DAY until tomorrow at midnight. This game seems to be trickier than the last time, the doctors are having more success. Good luck, citizens!

I was looking at the comments from "yesterday" and this is who I found suspicious: Merritt voted for Cortney, Eric and Matthew voted for Jay, and Sadie voted for Hillary close to the end. Was she trying to jump in so as not to be suspicious (as Deena did many times last game)? And of course I am always suspicious of Matthew, he is my brother after all and he is definitely capable of being the Evil head of the Mafia! Also, just because Eric says he is the detective doesn't mean we have to believe him. After all, he doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with any info he has found out on who is or isn't mafia. Anyone else have any ideas? And I didn't want to look back through all the comments but I was wondering who has actually been "cleared" as non-mafia?

I think that it is Aunt Shirley she seems to be flying low on the radar and always wanted to kill Eric even though we know he is the detective. We need to find out what Eric found out last night and then I think I will make my final vote. This is who the detectives have asked about, I believe.

I know I sound like a broken record, but Eric is mafia. Right before we killed Josh, Eric was about to be killed, so he came up with this lie that he is a detective. Very clever, if the town believes him they won't kill him because they think he's going to help them. The mafia won't kill him either, since he is one of them. Think back to his comments. When Jay asked him to tell what he knew the first time, Eric talked about Jay's spreed sheet. When Jay pressed him he gave him 2 people who were "not Mafia". Notice that he didn't say they were townies or anything, just that they weren't mafia. That's because since he is mafia, he knew they weren't, not what they were. And his trick worked, people voted for Josh and Eric was saved. Later when Jay challenged him again he rambled on and didn't vote at all. I know that Eric says that he's just bad at guessing who to ask about, but I can't believe he's that bad. Remember Hillary's lie about who she was? Do you see a pattern here? You should vote for Eric and kill off the third one.

Maybe Eric is trying to hide the names of the doctors by not revealing who they are just that they are not mafia. It is safer for the town this way then mafia doesn't know who the doctors are to kill them. But you look pretty suspicious like Hillary did "yesterday" before she was hairsprayed down.

Jay you have got to be kidding me. As many people who wanted you died because we didn't believe that you are really who you say you are but kept you alive just to see. I think that you need to give Eric the benefit of the doubt. At least wait until he posts to see what he found out. Maybe he found out who mafia is since you weren't so "lucky" this time. If you both live to see another day maybe you could ask on someone he has to make sure that he is telling the truth.
Also Shirley...in your ramblings you made a FATAL ERROR(as Jay would say) Eric didn't reveal that he was the detective to save himself when we killed Josh. It was the next day when we killed Alexis that both Jay and Eric revealed that they were the detectives..........

OK Angela, try this on for size. I'm a detective. The night after Josh was killed I found out that Eric was mafia and tried like crazy to get you people to kill him because I knew he was lying. If you check back on the comments, you'll see that that is true. I held off on Eric when Hillary was going to be bumped off because I knew she was mafia too, but now that she's gone, I'm back on the same old bandwagon. It's true that I got the time when Eric outed himself mixed up, but look at it realistically, after Eric's near death, he had to do something or he was sure to go sooner than later. The lie is very clever, now you don't know who to believe him or me. Just keep in mind that I have never been evasive and Eric has.
Well that is a thought. If Shirley you really are the detective what else have you found out besides that Eric is mafia. There have been four nights that means that you should have found out about three other people besides Eric. Who did you find out about last night?

My first guess was a doctor, so I won't tell you who it was. I found out that Eric and Hillary are mafia, and here is where you'll say that I'm making it up, but I'm not. Last night I asked about Kari too, (obviously she was suspicious). And there have been five nights, the other one I asked about was you.
I agree with you Merrit but not for the same reasons. Matthew doesn't have internet at his house and has to work three jobs. I think that he has been all along but that is because I am his sister and know that he is deep down an evil mobster.

Considering if you look at the post today it actually says "Day 4: Wakanana Crabs" and the one before it is "Night 4: disappear in a cloud of...hairspray?" So, sounds to me like Shirley is either a confused little detective or not such a good mafia liar!

Day 3: We killed Hillary after the mafia killed Jason
Day 4: We killed no one yet after the mafias victim was saved yet again by our great town doctors.
Josh, Alexis, and Hillary were all killed by the town. Deena and Jason were killed by the mafia. And there have been two nights of doctor savings. (These are easy to see by the side column with everyone's pictures)
I'm voting for Matthew and I probably won't be on much because I have a few hugeo math assignments to do, but I'll try to log back in every once in a while.

Erik would put himself out there are risk being killed by the mafia because he knows he is one and as we have already established Mafia can't kill other mafia. What mistakes has she made? look sarah, ive deduced that sadie couldnt be mafia... for one, shes really not cunning, to be totally honest... second, the first person alexis voted for, just as a throw-away vote, was for sadie... i dont think shes gonna throw her comrade's name out there...
also, i believe it's 2 for eric, 2 for shirley, and 2 for matthew... but according to my last point, matthew would be a bad choice when choosing to execute someone... look:

The problem with Jay's reasoning is that if we kill a detective and let a mafia live, then we are down a detective, and the mafia would most likely kill the other detective (Jay, presumably) during the next night. Most likely the doctors have used up their saves for Jay already. Then we would have no detectives and we would have to figure it out all on our own. I still feel like Shirley is the most likely to be mafia but I could be swayed...

Thank you sister dear. I am sorry that I thought that you were mafia. I think that we should use Jay's logic on him. How do we know that he isn't mafia and Shirley and Eric are the real detectives. So lets kill Shirley and see if she is mafia or not and then we will know if she is lying. It is the same thing we did with Hillary and Alexis. We let Jay live to see if he was right. I am so torn. My mom sounds so angry, like she's frustrated because no one is listening to her-like she's telling the truth...but the other choice is my husband. Decisions, decisions.
I am still a little bitter that Eric voted me dead last game-even though I was mafia-and I kind of feel like getting back at him for that back-stabbing. I have been thinking about this today. Here's what I came up with: I have known my mother my whole life and she has never lied to me (that I know of)-she didn't even tell us there was a Santa Claus because she didn't want to lie to her kids. AND THEN on the flip side I have known Eric for only 3 years and although I don't know of any lies as of yet, he does want to do Santa Claus and lie to our kids.

Sarah, if Eric is mafia he can "out" (or whatever) because he hasn't ever said who is a townie. Which, granted, is smart, but doesn't necessarily make him a detective. Heck, if I was a mafia I would be able to tell everyone who the mafia is and even better because I can tell them that I know that so and so is a mafia and everyone would be believe me (technically like Shirley is doing) because they would think I am a detective.
It's not really that hard to play a detective.
Also, disgusted cortney, at least most of us sheep stay with one person the whole time (except for the Matthew case) and don't switch our votes constantly.
Hillary tried to be a detective right at the last second when everyone had pretty much already doomed her. Shirley has not. Only Angela ganged up on her when she decided to out herself as the detective.
Also, if Eric does turn out to be the real detective, I still would not have changed my vote.
