DAY 2: Sunrise Wednesday
The citizens of Wakananababoo gathered the next morning on the pier to watch the sunrise. It was a peaceful tradition of theirs they lovingly called Sunrise Wednesday. The sky was beautiful, full of magenta clouds and deep, dark orange beams of light. The scene reflected off of the ocean and made the sky appear twice as large and twice as soothing.
The mayor stumbled in, quite disheveled from spending the night on her entryway floor, and read the note aloud. Josh had been only a townie. Everyone hang their head low, ashamed at their folly and deeply saddened by the life taken without reason. They would miss him.
Once again the town looked out over the beautiful horizon, trying to find strength from the rising sun. But wait, several feet from the pier was a woman bobbing in the ocean. She had obviously been anchored in the shallow water and her dark brown hair spread out around her as if it were a halo. In an instant it was obvious who she was, for the only woman missing from Sunrise Wednesday was Deena.
It is now DAY. You have until Thursday at midnight to get 8 votes and execute someone. Please, townspeople, make it a mafia member this time!

After I FINALLY got through all of those comments which killed Josh, I had a strong feeling that we had picked the wrong one of the two. Eric's comments sounded very guilty to me, like he was trying too hard. I think we should've picked him instead.

I should have left already, but because of a little car trouble I didn't leave on time. But hopefully I am leaving today for Vegas (cross your fingers for me) and won't be back until Monday. I checked the blog earlier this morning, but I guess I beat the mayor out of bed because nothing new was posted. I haven't been able to check until now. I'm surprised Deena was the next to go. That seems kind of random to me. What does everyone else think?
At first I thought it might have been Jay since him and Josh were together yesterday, but since Josh was a townie I didn't think Jay would have killed Deena (who cast the original deciding vote against Josh), but *shrugs* I don't know.
I am still considering Hillary as a possible mafia, and either Kari or Eric. But now I am also thinking it might be Shirley as she is so quick to try and put the blame against Eric. OR maybe she is a detective and knows that Eric for sure is a mafia? I'm still keeping my options open.
Oh, and I was excited to be the first one because I live so many hours behind the rest of you (pacific time zone) that there are usually at least 10 comments by the time I log in.

I agree with mom. I think Eric talked us out of it, and maybe Kari got fooled by him as well--unless she's in cahootz (spelling?) with him! I think I made a mistake switching to Josh though.

Wow, are we going to believe that Jay is being honest about the way he set up his spreadsheet? I don't know if I would since he is a suspect right now. I still believe that Eric is Mafia. I don't believe that Jay is, (although I too would like to see him type in real words, I know I'm old fashioned, but I don't understand letters by themselves). I don't think you should use the number of times that people post to decide if they should live or die. If the past is any proof, it doesn't make any difference how many times they post.

Well, I'm heading back to Michigan for the weekend and will be on the road for quite a while tonight. I'm not sure if I'll want to get back on the blog after we get to Michigan so I better vote now. I think I'm going to go with Jay, and not because of the number of times he posts. I think he may just have had Deena killed in retaliation of Josh's death. Deena being the one killed is just so random otherwise; to me anyway.

also, for those of you who care, i doubt anyone's met her, but my mom's mom (mine and sadie's grandma) was diagnosed with leukemia the other day, and is in the advanced stages of it... she's been given 3-8 weeks to live, and chemo will not help... i dunno, im sad about it, and i know sadie is too, so i guess im asking for a bit of emotional support, because we just found out about how bad it was last night, and, well, she's our grandma... don't bother praying for her, because it's been made clear that there's NO possibility of her staying alive for more than two more months...
btw, about our grandma, she's completely better and rid of her influenza b illness, and she's up and moving again, off of oxygen as of monday...

I would strongly urge you people to vote for Eric. Notice how quiet he's been today? I know I just said that the number of posts doesn't mean anything, and maybe he's working, but I can't help the feeling that we should've voted him dead last time.

I may be scaring the mafia townies--I remember when I went for Kari last game as mafia, Sarah did the same thing--"You're trying too hard", she would say. Why does this worry you Sarah? I'm playing the exact same way I did last game, because I have nothing to hide. Last time I had the detective badge I "flashed out" in order to get the town's help, I can't do that this time unfortunately--but I still ask for your help beach townies. It surprises me how quickly Sarah and Hillary want to condemn me, because I feel like Eric is mafia. I hope you townies find this odd as well.

I don't have anything to go on except what I have mentioned throughout the game so far. I don't think he playing the same game he played last time. I haven't seen his spreadsheet yet so I can't comment on that, but my best guess is that Jay is bad.

Even if we weren't, it's probably a good idea that Eric doesn't reveal who we are so mafia doesn't know...If one of us were doctor's, then the mafia would go for us. The best way to reveal someone is: 'mafia' or 'not mafia'.

I just wanted to clarify that as I said before, although I am a little suspicious of Jason I mostly voted for him just to vote. I am definitely willing to change to anyone else. Since I am 3 hours behind Michigan, 2 hours behind Tennessee, and 1 hour behind Utah I am usually on later than everyone else and can have the last vote. That being said, I will switch to whom ever needs the majority at the end of the day. If people switch over to Alexis and still need a vote to execute I'm your man.. or.. um.. woman. come on eric, hillary, emily, matthew... just trust me on this... you wont be sorry... if she turns up non-mafia, y'all can go ahead and kill me... i promise im not lying... when y'all see that alexis is mafia, the doctors can protect me and eric tonight and we can get a little more info before the mafia kills us off... youre right, the circumstances for my revealing that im detective do look a tad suspicious, but guys, youve just gotta trust me on this one

Jay I think it would be a good idea that after the mafia kills someone, hopefully not us,(doctors help) that as soon as we can we share our information with everyone and that way we don't waste time falsely accusing people and having to press to get the votes we need.
If you guys find out who the doctors are PLEASE don't put or let it slip that they are the doctors. We are really up against a tough one with 4 mafia(hopefully 3 after tomorrow) but the town needs all the help they can get. Just make sure that you put mafia or non-mafia. Keep the doctors safe from the mafia, we need their help.
Looks like we have done our job. I guess we will see in the morning if Jay is telling the truth. If not, it is bye-bye for him. My back hurts and I am tired so goodnight Wakananababoo residents!
