DAY 3: when push comes to shove
As they sailed back to Wakananababoo a deep sense of relief overwhelmed the town. Some spoke of Lexi's death as a "new beginning" for the town and were pleased with how this process seemed to unite the citizens. Others spoke of adventure and intrigue, yet nobody mentioned the word "fun." Killing off family members and neighbors definitely was NOT fun.
Once the ship approached the harbor, the men jumped off the ship. Traditionally it was the men's job to drag the ship in the last few feet and tie it to the dock. The mayor watched the deft hands of Jay, Matthew, Cortney, Eric and Merrit. They worked quickly, tying the knots they had all learned in Boy Scouts. She chuckled to herself about Jason's feelings for Boy Scouts, how he didn't enjoy it, how their kids would have to be encouraged by her instead...but wait, where was Jason?
She called to the men and they didn't know, she called to the other women on the ship and they didn't know. Jason was nowhere to be found. Did he fall overboard? They sailed back the direction they had come, dragged the ocean all night, and finally they found his lifeless body floating about 100 yards from where Alexis had jumped. He had been gagged to prevent him from screaming. When nobody else was looking, it was clear he had been pushed.
Dawn approached. It looked as if it would be a long day.
It is now DAY. You have until Sunday night to lynch someone. As Jason is now dead he can no longer comment. There are 12 people left, you need 7 to votes to execute.

OH...darn...I wanted to be the first comment. I was surprised to see that no one had said anything yet. I couldn't believe that me, the one on vacation, would be one of the first people to write anything. I don't really have anything to say-only that I am surprised there aren't like 30 comments already.
Jeez, it is only eight thirty my time! Although I guess to some (Matt) that are used to getting up so early that would be sleeping in. Or are you up so early because you are wondering what we think of the person you killed Mr. Mafia Man? Gotta go make breakfast, but I will be checking in later.

Okay I just want to let everyone know that I am not mafia. I was on a date and got home late and was tired so I went straight to bed. If I had got on I would have changed my vote to Alexis. But yes, Matthew is the Godfather of the Mafia at least I think so.

Jay, I'm confused why if you knew these people were mafia from the beginning that you didn't say anything before and then we could have gotten rid of the mafia sooner and maybe Jason wouldn't have died. I don't trust you Jay-why haven't you been sharing your information since the beginning. Maybe you are lying about being a detective and were just lucky with Alexis...I don't want to kill my sister just yet, you might be wrong if you are a liar.
i didnt know hillary was mafia till last night... i knew alexis was all along, buti had a hard time saying, 'i think alexis is mafia' b/c ppl would perceive that to be suspicious... in fact, the fact that you dont believe that im a detective despite the fact that we killed alexis last night makes me think that YOU'RE mafia, kari... some have already had their suspicions
Jay why dont you find out about kari next. if they kill you tomorrow do you find out anything? or does the mayor wait to see who dies before answering the detectives questions. just curious.

To answer your question, detectives can still ask and I will still answer, but if they are killed they are not able to log on and share their information, nor are they allowed to tell anyone their information outside of the blog. They might as well not have found out. I don't wait to answer their inquiry, though.

I just happened to be not working at the house because Ethan got ornery and tired so I brought him home to nap and was working while he was asleep. Alright, I'm very sad that you all have picked me out of everyone else to lynch. So in light of this turn of events I think I better let you know that I was the one that saved the person in the beginning of the game. It was Jason that I saved very first but I guess the mafia really wanted him dead because they saw it through and know he is dead. I know it's hard to believe me because of what Jay has said. However, if you take into account that he knew Alexis was mafia and didn't say anything and that he has been pointing a finger at me from the very beginning and now is saying that he "knows for sure" I think you might be able to see that he is mafia. Of course he would know who mafia are if he is one. It would be very easy for him to sacrifice one to save himself. Alexis was the logical pick too because she was on the road to Michigan when she was convicted. She couldn't even try to defend herself. Smart, move Jay. So you can all go with Jay and kill me, a good guy (woman), or you can side with me and get Jay. Either way, you'll know who is who tomorrow and you will be sad if it were me who dies.
We are going back to Wisconsin after church today so I doubt I will be able to post again, unless we get home at a reasonable time (Chicago traffic will determine). This will be my only defense so I pray that you will see the truthfulness of it and help me get Jay.

I think Hillary is lying about being a doctor because that's the only way she can think of to convince people to not kill her. Since there is no way to check out her story, I believe we should kill her. I still believe that she's mafia, and we'd be doing ourselves a favor to deplete their ranks.
I also support Shirley. No one else has come forward to disprove Jay by saying that they are the true detective and I think that Hillary is a good actress. She always has been ever since we were little. We need to stick with Hillary. Jay didn't let us down with Alexis and I think that if he was ratting out mafia members just to gain trust the other mafia members would have him killed. PLEASE STICK WITH HILLARY AND VOTE TO KILL TONIGHT!

I am not completely convinced about Hillary yet. If Jay isn't mafia then why didn't the mafia kill him or Eric last "night" when they had an easy chance. Why kill Jason? Admittedly he is a very good player of this game, but he hadn't really been picking on any one person this time (except for maybe Eric). Although it seems as if Hillary has been gunning for Jay the whole game. If I log on tonight and only one vote is needed for majority then I will definitely switch. But I am still not sure...
Sorry i haven't commented this weekend i went up to idaho to visit my grandma. mabye since jay is a detective he could have been right about hillary, just a thought.

something i found to be an obvious flaw with hillary's claim to be a doctor was that she knew who was to die... since there are TWO doctors, i dont think anyone knows, even the doctors, who was the attempted murder victim... if she claims that she saved jason from dying first round, if she were a doctor, that may have been true, that she tried to save him... but no one, even the doctors, would know for sure if he was really the targeted victim...
Jay is right about the first person that was saved, no one except the beautiful mayor knows. And mafia probably guessed that the doctors would save the detectives last night so they wanted the doctors to use up their saves and then they will kill the detectives now. That is what I think happen with Jason last game. He revealed that he was the detective and didn't die the first night but was killed but mafia after that. But I guess you would now that since you "were" dark side.......
All right I see your logic, but how would one doctor know which person the other doctor was going to save? They could have both chosen Eric. If I were a doctor I would have chosen him because he seems more trustworthy. Therefor if I were mafia I would have gone for Jay anyway, unless they were hoping he would spill who the doctor is if he found out (he tends to have loose lips if you know what I'm saying). Sorry I haven't been on to say anything yet, but not having my wife and child around gave me a lot of me time and I wanted to take advantage of that because it probably won't happen again for a very long time.
I'm afraid to say that the only thing I learned last time was that Cortney is not mafia. I guess I'm not really good at guessing who is mafia and who isn't, but it looks like Jay has come up with the next victim.

Wow there has been a lot of comment since I last logged on and now I'm confused.
I kind of believe Hillary (since I do think Jay is mafia) and kinda believe Jay (because Alexis was mafia). If Jay is mafia it would be easy to rat out the other mafia, but (I don't really remember) I don't think mafia can kill each other at night. However, I think I'm still going to stick with my vote for Hillary right now. If she's not mafia well then Jay you are dead.
Man, I just got back from Michigan. We made record time through Chicago. It was nice.
Now, thank goodness I did make it back so I can tell you guys that I really am telling the truth. I know this is going to be long (which I guess according to Jay means you are mafia), but I'd like to answer to all the reasons why you guys think I'm mafia. I hope by doing this you will understand how I can't be.
O.K., I admit that what Jay said about the doctors not knowing who the first person the mafia targeted is right. I assumed that my pick (Jason) was the one saved because Jason died lastnight. I thought that proved that it was him in the first place, but you are right, I could be wrong in my assumption.
Why would the other detective disprove Jay? If he/she came out and exposed him/herself then he/she would be fair game for the mafia. I think he/she is smart to stay annonymous, especially because when Eric gets killed he/she would be the only detective around to help us.
I'd also like to point out, if I remember right from last game, that the mafia can't kill other mafia members. So if Jay were to rat out one of them, they would have to convince the rest of the town to vote to lynch him. That's the only way they could have revenge on him. Since it would be hard to do that without revealing that they are mafia too, I think Jay could assume he would be safe from them. As he has successfully done with Alexis. Don't you see he gave you her so he could pull off the act that he is a detective?
I knew he was mafia as soon as he accused me of being mafia because I'm not. But I guess you guys will see tomorrow when I'm dead and Jay has yet another night with the mafia to kill.
One last thing, I did vote to save Eric lastnight hoping to save him just in case the mafia chose him. Please don't let me die tonight. I'd like to try to save as many people as I can before the mafia gets me. You didn't believe Jay before when he tried to have me killed. Don't believe him now either, please. We almost didn't believe Jason was a detective last game when he came out as one. He turned out to be telling the truth. I am too.

I wasn't going to vote because my vote doesn't seem to matter. Hillary is already on the chopping block and I am being accused of not voting by my mother-in-law so my vote is for Jay.
